How Mapei Went From Employee Training to Educating Its Extended, Global Workforce

Mapei, an 80-year-old Milan-based leader in adhesives and chemical products with operations in 32 countries and 89 subsidiaries, needed to scale training beyond its HQ to train subsidiaries, clients and applicators worldwide. The company’s challenge was to deliver consistent product, regulatory and corporate learning while accommodating different languages, local regulations and each subsidiary’s unique platform requirements.

Mapei implemented Docebo’s Extended Enterprise multi-domain solution to create localized portals with dedicated languages, layouts, local admins and mobile access, allowing subsidiaries to build their own courses and manage users. The pilot expanded to 20+ subsidiaries and 7,000+ users, increasing learner engagement and local content creation; Mapei now plans to grow to 10,000+ learners and build a single global learning library.
