Datto Boosts Employee & Partner Product Knowledge with the Docebo LMS

Datto, a Norwalk-based business continuity and disaster recovery vendor with ~800 employees that sells through 6,000+ MSP partners worldwide, struggled in 2016 with an ad hoc “Datto Academy” wiki that was disorganized, offered no user registration or engagement tracking, and left both employees and partners with inconsistent product and sales knowledge. The company needed a single, trackable learning platform to standardize onboarding, improve technical competency, and reduce basic support tickets caused by gaps in partner knowledge.

Datto deployed the Docebo LMS to relaunch its Datto Academy and launch the internal “Datto Graduate School,” using learning plans, gamified onboarding, and a partner-tiered program to segment content and reward completion. The result: over 18,000 partner users created, more than half the company signed in within two weeks and roughly 95% course completion in the first quarter, faster and higher-quality partner support tickets, clearer visibility into partner engagement, and a scalable training model that’s now enabling partner self-management and ongoing content expansion.
