Magama, a Chilean startup specializing in immersive virtual reality experiences, needed to integrate a chatbot to improve user interaction and provide automated support within its virtual environments. The challenge involved connecting to a chatbot service and various communication channels while also implementing analytics to monitor performance. After the discontinuation of their original VR service introduced a further complication, they partnered with DNX Solutions to find a solution on AWS.
DNX Solutions built a serverless API using Amazon API Gateway and AWS Lambda to mediate communication with an Amazon Lex v2 chatbot, supporting both text and voice interactions. They also created an analytics dashboard using Amazon CloudWatch Logs Insights to visualize chatbot performance. This agnostic solution allows Magama to easily integrate with any Amazon Lex v2 chatbot, provides control over APIs for future monetization, and delivers a cost-effective, scalable platform that supports growth both inside and outside of virtual reality.
