SchoolDude, a market-leading provider of cloud applications that help educational institutions manage facilities, maintenance and IT, faced a common problem: a successful website with mostly static content that didn’t encourage return visits, deeper customer relationships, or new sales opportunities. The company wanted a dynamic, integrated community to increase engagement, crowdsource useful content and attract new users without sending visitors to a separate microsite.
SchoolDude implemented Evoq Engage (integrated with its DNN/Evoq CMS) and launched a community in weeks offering blogs, Q&A, discussions, groups, events, ideation and an activity feed (“Chatter”). Early results were strong: about 10 new registrations per day, a 39% increase in unique visits and 38% more new visitors within four months, plus a 54% rise in page views, 35% more page views per visit, 73 new Q&A entries and 30 new discussion topics—along with crowd-sourced ideas that accelerated product initiatives like mobile apps.
