Regional Health Authority Drives Improved Care, Efficiency with DNN

Northern Health is a regional health authority in British Columbia, Canada, serving about 300,000 people across an area roughly the size of France and operating numerous hospitals, community care and public health programs. Its legacy website required desktop software to edit content, was not scalable for remote communities, and lacked the web-based, easy-to-manage permissions and support the organization needed.

Working with Lexicore, Northern Health implemented DNN Evoq Content to redesign a main portal and several sub‑sites with region-specific maps and granular permissions that allow authorized local contributors. The new platform increased internal content contributors from about 15 to 40, enabled faster, community‑specific updates (for example during a mill fire), reduced support costs by leveraging local resources, and freed savings to be redirected into health care.
