A DNN Corp. Case Study
The Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University faced a cumbersome, monolithic website built on ColdFusion and SQL Server that mixed public content with internal resources, making navigation difficult and requiring IT intervention for routine updates. The marketing and IT teams wanted an affordable, flexible platform that separated external and internal content, supported easy content publishing by staff, and fostered better student–alumni collaboration.
They implemented the DNN Evoq Content platform with modules like Active Social, Active Forums, DNNArticle, and an events/registration tool, and launched a streamlined public site plus a new intranet portal called Jconnect for student‑alumni interaction. The result was a visually rich, easy-to-navigate site with positive user feedback, faster development, lower cost, simpler content management for nontechnical staff, and an intranet that improves networking and employment prospects.
