Wurth Wood Group, a Charlotte-based building materials supplier with 12 locations, faced a post-acquisition IT challenge: two different legacy systems that needed consolidation to gain inventory accuracy and building-material–specific features like rebate reporting. Seeking a modern, supported solution rather than reverting to the older D+ system, Wurth evaluated and selected DMSi Software’s Agility (SaaS Hosted) to unify operations and reporting.

Wurth implemented DMSi Software’s Agility SaaS in 2007 and also uses DMSi’s Binformed business intelligence tools; the hosted Agility deployment eliminated server/backups overhead while enabling better interfaces to third‑party software. The solution delivered faster price updates via an import price program, more detailed rebate reporting and tracking of cost and gross margins, improved inventory accuracy and operational efficiency, and greater visibility into profitability—resulting in quicker, more accurate reporting to suppliers and better service to customers.
