Heathrow engaged DMI to enhance the passenger journey from start to finish by delivering a mobile solution that brings pre‑arrival check‑in guidance, real‑time flight status and terminal information to travelers and staff. The challenge was to centralize timely trip information and make it easily accessible before and during travel so customers and operational teams could plan and manage journeys more smoothly.
DMI implemented the Heathrow Airport app, consolidating check‑in alerts, flight updates and other trip details into a single, easy‑to‑use interface. The app has been used extensively by both passengers and staff, achieving more than 130,000 downloads and earning frequent global media recognition as a benchmark for airport apps.
