Healthcare Organization, a statewide hospital network undergoing consolidation, lacked governance and a consolidated view of healthcare IT purchases, leading to redundant systems, wasted maintenance and integration costs, and hidden obsolescence. DMI was engaged to document the organization’s solution portfolio and implement a searchable portfolio in ServiceNow Configuration to address these visibility and governance gaps.

DMI interviewed more than 75 stakeholders, discovered and documented over 1,200 applications, created a dependency map, and implemented governance and processes plus a roadmap for application rationalization and TCO analysis. As a result of DMI’s work the organization improved cross‑unit communication and procurement negotiations, and future simplification is estimated to save approximately $11 million over three years while delivering a projected 1% increase in patient satisfaction.
