DoubleTree by Hilton engaged DMI to help overhaul its email marketing as part of a brand refresh. Prior to the project, DoubleTree’s emails were promotional, inconsistently templated, and segmented ad hoc with outdated lists; the brand wanted stronger alignment with Hilton Worldwide and to highlight HiltonHHonors membership while improving audience engagement.
DMI designed new monthly and weekly email templates, developed an audience-driven content strategy using lifestyle imagery, and implemented ongoing analytics, segmentation and optimization. The work by DMI nearly doubled DoubleTree reservations, sales and value-per-click, increased total emails sent by 42%, lifted click-thru-to-book rates by 64%, produced a holiday social promotion that earned over $500K, and delivered the most profitable targeted email campaign in Hilton history.
