Allergan, a global, technology-driven healthcare company, faced a complex mobility challenge: supporting thousands of globally distributed smartphone and tablet users across multiple business units with differing device, data access and security needs. DMI was engaged to provide strategic guidance and a managed mobility solution, integrating MobileIron, BES and McAfee technologies and delivering 24/7 global support and managed services.
DMI evaluated each business unit, architected a multi-threaded solution connecting devices to four data centers across North America, EMEA and APAC, and implemented full mobility management including forward/reverse logistics, device imaging, carrier coordination, spare pools, break/fix and recycling. The solution scaled to several thousand users (50,000+ devices managed), delivers a guaranteed first-call resolution of at least 85% for key personnel, and reduced Allergan’s on-premises staffing needs to just two IT professionals to manage devices worldwide.
