A comprehensive redevelopment that has swiftly proved to be a valuable investment

Zurich Cantonal Bank engaged Divio to redesign its public websites to solve usability, accessibility and conversion challenges across a wide range of devices and user skills. Divio worked with the bank through the design process to create a coherent visual language and UX driven by personas, and applied Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery practices, a Flask-based interactive Styleguide, custom frontend development and accessibility (WCAG 2.0 AA) to unify presentation and guarantee reliability.

Divio implemented a fully responsive, progressively enhanced frontend with an online Styleguide, custom icons, automated testing and integration with the bank’s Java backend. The results were strong and measurable: a tenfold increase in traffic to online marketing offers, business orders (account openings, card orders, credit requests, eBanking registrations and appointments) up by over a third, mobile users rising to 15% of private clients and 20% of ZKB Young Paket orders now made by smartphone, alongside wide positive user feedback.
