University of Washington powers a 2 x 3 video wall for research visualization with Diversified

The Health Sciences Library at the University of Washington sought to accelerate health research and innovation by creating a dedicated space for data visualization. Their challenge was to support clinical researchers who needed to analyze and visualize large data sets from various sources. The university engaged the vendor, Diversified, to design and install a specialized video wall for their Translational Research and Information Lab (TRAIL).

Diversified implemented a 2x3 video wall comprised of 55-inch displays, enabling researchers to send six different sources to any or all screens. The solution included a color touch panel for system control with multiple display configurations and automated power settings. The video wall was a significant success, sparking interest across campus for its novel use in data visualization and 3-D imaging projects, transforming a common product into a powerful research tool.
