Sky News Arabia, a major news broadcaster in the Middle East, faced the challenge of building a large-scale, state-of-the-art news production center that relied on automation for efficiency and to minimize operational staffing costs. Diversified implemented a solution that included driving the development of new functionality for the Broadcast Bionics PhoneBox system to create a unified bookings system. This innovation allowed a single booking to automate the entire signal path, including setting up encoders, routing signals, recording to servers, and configuring talkback paths via the Riedel intercom infrastructure. The result for Sky News Arabia was a highly automated and reliable operation where a booking merely requires the source, destination file, and time, significantly reducing manual coordination and increasing efficiency.
