Lamudi GmbH operates online real estate classifieds across more than 30 countries with over 900,000 listings. As the site grew it became a target for content scrapers, spam bots and advanced persistent bots that rotated IPs to evade simple firewall blocks (AWS WAF, Linux iptables), causing stolen listings, degraded lead quality, and sudden traffic spikes (from ~1k to ~15k requests per minute) that threatened uptime and skewed analytics.
