GL Studio Delivers UI development to Jaguar Land Rover
Jaguar Land Rover wanted to bring its InControl Touch Pro infotainment and rear-seat entertainment interfaces in-house while supporting climate, audio, communications, navigation, and personalized home-screen features without increasing driver distraction. Vendor DiSTI provided its GL Studio UI development toolkit to serve as the user interface layer for the touch-screen system.
DiSTI implemented GL Studio with Jaguar Land Rover’s infotainment platform to deliver a highly responsive, intuitive interface with pinch-to-zoom and swipe support, full-screen navigation, and strong embedded performance. The company says Jaguar Land Rover standardized on GL Studio after a yearlong evaluation, using it across embedded HMI prototyping and production infotainment systems, with claimed benefits including 80% faster time to market, 6x better runtime performance, and 50% less CPU utilization.
