Calytrix Technologies, a Perth-based defense simulation software company, needed an affordable way to train communication procedures without relying on expensive physical radios. To create a realistic, intuitive interface for its Comm Net Radio Simulator (CNR-Sim), Calytrix used DiSTI’s GL Studio to support a high-end virtual radio panel for the multichannel radio simulator.

DiSTI delivered a two-channel interactive graphical radio panel as a free add-on for CNR-Sim Free, connected through CNR-Sim’s API and SDK. The result was a more engaging, software-only training solution that paired realistic user interaction with flexible radio simulation across Windows and Linux, helping Calytrix extend the appeal and functionality of its communications training platform.
