The PETRONAS Leadership Center, a subsidiary of the major energy company Petronas, faced the challenge of developing a sustainable pipeline of agile leaders capable of navigating an unpredictable business climate. To identify high-potential "hidden gems" within its large organization, it partnered with the vendor Disprz to leverage the algorithm on its Learning Experience Platform (LXP) and gain data-driven insights into learner behaviors.
Disprz implemented a solution centered on a custom "Learning Agility" algorithm built on its LXP. The algorithm calculated a score based on metrics tied to curiosity, self-awareness, and aspiration, which helped PETRONAS identify employees with high potential for tailored development. This data-driven approach was highly successful, helping the company win a Gold Brandon Hall award. The platform identified agile learners with scores up to 88% and was instrumental in developing future leaders.
