Coop Denmark - Customer Case Study

Coop Denmark, a DKK 50 billion cooperative retailer operating chains such as Kvickly, SuperBrugsen and Dagli’Brugsen, needed a more agile way to price products and launch promotions across its stores. To address this, Coop piloted Displaydata’s electronic shelf labels (ESLs) at its Kvickly Jyllinge store.

Displaydata (with partner Delfi) installed battery-powered ESLs, wireless communicators and central software that integrates with Coop’s POS to push remote price changes, monitor label health and display barcodes/order info; 12,000 labels were deployed in under 48 hours. The Displaydata solution eliminated price errors, sped up promotions and repricing, reduced perishables waste, freed 2–3 staff per week and delivered estimated annual savings of 600,000 DKK (US $104,000), while improving replenishment and customer service.
