Washoe County School District in Nevada faced challenges with student engagement, learning loss, and inconsistent STEM instruction across its campuses following the COVID-19 pandemic. The district needed a solution to support varying teaching approaches, from elementary cross-curricular labs to high school Career & Technical Education programs. To address this, they implemented Discovery Education Experience, a solution selected by the Nevada State Department of Education.

The solution increased student engagement and allowed educators to enhance the rigor of their lessons. Teachers reported that the embedded activities and resources took learning to a deeper level. The partnership continues to focus on expanding Discovery Education's use, particularly at the high school level, through targeted resources and professional learning.
