Sahuarita Unified School District boosts science engagement with Discovery Education for 5,800 students

Sahuarita Unified School District needed to replace its outdated science textbooks but faced budget constraints. Discovery Education provided Science Techbook, a digital curriculum aligned to state standards, along with professional learning for teachers. The district expanded its use to become the core K-8 science program. An implementation study showed a statistically significant positive correlation between Techbook usage and improved student assessment scores, meeting ESSA Tier 3 evidence. Discovery Education's solution also increased student engagement and provided crucial support for bilingual learners and families.
