Park Ridge Elementary School boosts reading 6.1% and math 3.1% with Discovery Education

Park Ridge Elementary School in Broward County, Florida, sought to improve student outcomes by increasing its focus on STEM learning. To support this initiative, the school implemented two services from Discovery Education.

Discovery Education provided its Science Techbook digital textbook and the STEMformation professional development program. Following this implementation, a two-year study showed positive impacts. Specifically, Park Ridge students saw a 6.1 percent increase in reading scores and a 3.1 percent increase in math scores on the Florida Standards Assessment, with researchers attributing some of this success to Discovery Education's resources.
