Am Law 50 Firm had already coded thousands of documents in a complex financial litigation, and the overseeing government Agency wanted to benchmark those associate reviews against DISCO’s Managed Review. The Agency sent 11,000 documents to DISCO to test DISCO AI plus a five-person DISCO review team in a proof-of-concept.

DISCO implemented its Managed Review—DISCO AI prioritization feeding batches to human reviewers—which achieved over 99% accuracy on “highly likely” predictions and reviewer agreement of ~90% on “likely” predictions. DISCO reviewers averaged 65 docs/hr (18% faster than the Am Law 50 associates), completed the project in 169 hours (4 days) versus an estimated 200 hours (5 days), hit a peak of 145 docs/hr, and coded the final 2,700 documents in under three hours, delivering a faster, high-quality review at a fraction of the cost.
