Enamic Develops Custom Logistics Solution for Vanguard, with Directus

Enamic, a custom software support and development company based in Cape Town, South Africa, needed a better way to build internal applications for its client Vanguard Rigging. Vanguard’s legacy logistics system was slow, clunky, and limited in search and filtering, which was hurting productivity and increasing operational overhead as the business grew. Enamic chose Directus after evaluating other headless CMS options, looking for a platform suited to building a custom internal app rather than just content management.

Using Directus, Enamic built a highly customized logistics solution with fast search, role-based access control, document handling, quote generation, integrations with accounting and CRM systems, and support for mobile photo uploads and revision management. The new system has already loaded about 300 clients and 700 projects, and has generated roughly 2,400 quotes and 600 costings. Directus also delivered a major performance boost, running 2-3X faster on the same hardware and making permission changes a two-minute task instead of hours.
