A DIMO Maint Case Study
TCAR, the Rouen public transport authority and Transdev subsidiary operating trams, buses and depots, faced an urgent need to modernize an ageing in‑house CMMS that was causing technical problems (UNIX-based, poor exportability) and could not be scaled from bus-only to cover tramways, depots and regulatory traceability. The organisation sought a medium-sized off‑the‑shelf CMMS — DIMO Maint’s OptiMaint — to consolidate maintenance data, improve cost visibility and meet strict regulatory and contractual reporting requirements while integrating with existing systems.
DIMO Maint implemented OptiMaint with phased, team-by-team rollout, migrating stores and purchasing data, creating interfaces for vehicle mileage and invoice transfer, and training users. The solution now supports maintenance for 250 buses, 27 tram cars and roughly 1,000 equipment items across two sites (about 160 maintenance operatives), delivering clear, consolidated cost reporting and complete traceability of mandatory maintenance actions. TCAR reports stronger user adoption, improved information access and ensured continuity of service thanks to DIMO Maint’s OptiMaint.
