SMT ROTAREX digitalises its maintenance processes with DIMO Maint

Rotarex, a century-old industrial manufacturer of gas control systems, needed a better way to manage maintenance across its SMT Rotarex site in Genlis. With production running three shifts and machine availability critical, the team was relying on Excel, paper work orders, and an Access routine that lacked precision and real-time visibility. DIMO Maint’s DimoMaint MX CMMS was chosen to digitalize and streamline maintenance processes.

DIMO Maint implemented DimoMaint MX with support from a consultancy firm to structure asset data, configure preventive maintenance, and align workflows to Rotarex’s needs. The result was improved traceability, easier work-order management, better visibility into requests and schedules, and reliable performance indicators such as machine availability, MTTR, and MTBF. The CMMS also helped support production, safety, regulatory reminders, and more informed decision-making, making maintenance a stronger contributor to overall industrial performance.
