DIMO Maint’s CMMS connected to Sage X3, a strategic tool at the service of the productivity and the quality of Fournier’s furniture

Fournier, a family-owned manufacturer of kitchen and bathroom furniture with over 1,100 employees and four production sites, faced the challenge of sustaining Lean Manufacturing performance while guaranteeing the availability and delivery of highly customized products. To reduce breakdowns, improve traceability and control a spare‑parts catalogue of 20,000 references, Fournier turned to DIMO Maint’s CMMS (since 2009) to manage preventive and corrective maintenance across sites.

DIMO Maint implemented its CMMS with modules for intervention requests, planning, stock management, purchases and budgeting, and connected the CMMS to Sage X3 to obtain maintenance costs per machine. The rollout extended preventive maintenance to all four sites, improved stock and purchase management and budget control, and helped Fournier achieve a reported 10% reduction in breakdown rates in one year; currently 30% of orders pass through the CMMS with a target of 100% by end‑2014.
