Dimo Maint, Oryx builds a long-term preventive maintenance strategy

Oryx Energies, one of Africa’s largest independent oil and gas providers with operations in 17 countries and over 220 service stations, needed a corporate‑wide CMMS to replace fragmented Excel‑based tools, improve preventive maintenance, ensure ISO 9001 traceability, and manage remote, multilingual sites. After evaluating options, Oryx Energies selected DIMO Maint’s cloud‑based CMMS to provide an easy‑to‑implement, low‑hardware solution for consistent asset information and maintenance oversight.

DIMO Maint implemented a four‑phase rollout (≈8 months) with training, a pilot in Las Palmas, and database population across business lines, resulting in 22,765 assets in the system, 17,866 work orders logged and 49 active maintenance users to date. The DIMO Maint solution delivered measurable benefits — clearer budgeting, reduced downtime, increased asset life, optimized spare‑parts inventory, energy savings and lower maintenance costs — and Oryx Energies anticipates about a 5% ROI after three years.
