A DIMO Maint Case Study
Bariatrix Nutrition, a protein-rich foods and supplements producer that reopened its Montreal production and warehousing operation in 2012, faced significant maintenance inefficiencies: no structured work orders, non‑integrated spares lists, and poor visibility between operations and maintenance teams. After deploying SAGE ERP X3 in 2013 to integrate production, sales and logistics, Bariatrix engaged DIMO Maint to add a CMMS (Mini‑Maint) to improve traceability and day‑to‑day maintenance control.
DIMO Maint implemented its Mini‑Maint CMMS integrated with the Sage ERP, providing equipment inventory/classification, contract and spare‑parts management, work request and work‑order handling, automated preventive maintenance, scheduling and dashboards, and later mobile field functionality. The solution eliminated duplicate data entry, improved visibility into spare‑parts spending and work orders, cut down on work orders, and gave managers control over costs and auditing; Bariatrix reports operational, logistics and maintenance efficiencies and bottom‑line cost savings (exact figures not disclosed) and is expanding the system to a Vermont site with a data‑segregation module.
