Case Study: LEONIDAS reduces machine failures and implements preventive maintenance with DIMO Maint

A DIMO Maint Case Study

Preview of the Leonidas Case Study

A maintenance of first choice for LEONIDAS

Leonidas, the Belgian chocolatier with more than 1,500 points of sale and some 5,000 pieces of equipment across production sites and stores, faced a cumbersome maintenance process based on loose-leaf notes and spreadsheets that made analysis and preventive planning difficult. To modernize maintenance and support a 16‑technician team, Leonidas selected the DIMO Maint CMMS solution (Assets, Works, Stocks, Purchasing, Budgets, Data access management and File import modules) in July 2005.

DIMO Maint implemented a structured CMMS with database imports, a tree asset structure, virtual warehouses (2,600 mechanical and 2,900 electrical references), supplier integration, technician training and custom reporting. As a result, Leonidas gained comprehensive failure histories, parts-consumption tracking, supplier referencing, effective preventive maintenance and the association of consumables to multiple suppliers — delivering measurable ROI primarily through a documented decrease in machine failures.
