Making Data Accessible in the Fight Against COVID-19

KHIN/KONZA, a non-profit healthcare information exchange, faced the challenge of making crucial patient data accessible to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. With health data residing in disparate systems, it was difficult for physicians and public health officials to quickly obtain reliable information for contact tracing and patient follow-up care. They turned to the Diver Platform from Dimensional Insight to address this critical need.

Using Dimensional Insight’s technology, KONZA rapidly developed specialized dashboards for different stakeholders. This provided the Kansas Department of Health with up-to-date positive case data for contact tracing and gave physicians visibility into their hospitalized COVID-19 patients for post-discharge care. The solution also enabled population health analysis and provided researchers with aggregated data. The ease of use of the Dimensional Insight platform allowed KONZA's developers to create these valuable views in-house and quickly roll them out to approximately 50 physician practices, empowering them to make faster, more informed decisions during the pandemic.
