Baptist Health Automates Accreditation with Business Intelligence

Baptist Health South Florida, a major regional healthcare system, faced the complex challenge of automating a rigorous accreditation process for its new Breast Center. Manually tracking the 47 intricate measures required by two national accreditation bodies was nearly impossible. They turned to their existing vendor, Dimensional Insight, and its Diver Platform to automate these metrics and tie data together from numerous disparate sources.

Using Dimensional Insight's tools, including Visual Integrator and DivePort, Baptist Health developed an automated solution that integrated data from ten different systems. The project was a resounding success, resulting in the Breast Center receiving full accreditation along with nine special recognitions. The surveyor commended the automated system, noting it made her review incredibly easy and that no other center had achieved such a high level of automation. This eliminated the need for manual chart reviews and provided a scalable model for automating metrics for eight additional tumor sites.
