USA Today spotlights Dimensional Innovations’ 46,000-sq-ft Atlas9 immersive experience

Dimensional Innovations (DI) created Atlas9, an original immersive art attraction, to establish a new large-scale experiential destination in Kansas City. The challenge was to conceive and build a cinematic universe containing dozens of interactive environments and advanced gamification at a scale the city and DI had never attempted before.

The solution involved DI leveraging its full suite of design, fabrication, and technology services to build a narrative-rich, 46,000-sq-ft experience. This included environmental theming, RFID gamification, custom-built operating systems, and cutting-edge fabrication techniques like large-scale additive manufacturing. The project was a major success, earning recognition as USA Today's No. 2 Best New Attraction and a Capstone Awards winner, positioning Kansas City as a global player in immersive entertainment and strengthening the region's arts economy.
