Drake University transforms the Knapp Center atrium in 2025 with Dimensional Innovations

Drake University faced the challenge of re-energizing the entrance experience of its Knapp Center arena to enhance branding and improve the fan journey, but needed to do so without the budget for a full architectural overhaul. The university partnered with vendor Dimensional Innovations to deliver a high-impact upgrade that would celebrate its athletes and donors.

Dimensional Innovations provided a design-to-build solution, leading a complete transformation of the atrium. The vendor created a sculptural ceiling element, a new Hall of Honor to showcase the university's athletic legacy, a dynamic lenticular wall for showcasing teams, an eye-catching donor wall, and a large community-focused mural. The solution delivered by Dimensional Innovations successfully turned the entry into a powerful storytelling experience that honors history and deepens community connection without a massive construction project.
