Children's Wisconsin sends 44,000+ paper planes with Dimensional Innovations

Children's Wisconsin wanted to make the first floor of its hospital's North Tower more welcoming and engaging for pediatric patients and their families, while also creating a meaningful way to recognize donors. The challenge was to create a positive distraction in the healthcare setting that supported both visitor engagement and donor recognition. They partnered with vendor Dimensional Innovations for patient experience design and donor activations.

Dimensional Innovations created three custom digital interactives for the space, including a donor wall bookshelf, a motion-tracked digital coloring book, and an installation that lets visitors design and send a digital paper airplane with a personal message. This solution created a warm, vibrant pediatric environment that engaged visitors and honored donors. The measurable impact was significant, with kids having launched more than 44,000 paper planes with personal notes sent by text or email since the installation opened.
