Texas Medical Liability Trust (TMLT) is the largest medical liability insurer in Texas, covering more than 18,000 physicians and governed by a nine-member board and a claims subcommittee. Preparing board materials for meetings was time-consuming and costly: staff spent hundreds of hours collecting, copying and collating hundreds of pages into binders that were shipped overnight to 17 participants spread across the state.

TMLT replaced the paper process with Diligent Boards, equipping members with iPads and onboarding them to the secure online platform. The change boosted meeting engagement—board members receive materials in advance, have more time to review them, and can quickly contact executives through the app—while eliminating the hassle and expense of binders and overnight shipping.
