UnitingCare, one of Australia’s largest non-profit health, aged care, disability and community service providers headquartered in Brisbane, needed a way to understand enterprise risk across 460 locations and 17,400 employees. The risk and assurance team faced fragmented data across SAP, AX9/AX12, D365, multiple timesheet and clinical systems and needed to track more than 400 complex child-safety risk assessments and deliver timely, targeted assurance to management and the Board.

By rolling out the Diligent GRC platform and connecting disparate systems, Internal Audit quickly built configurable continuous monitoring programs that replaced slow quarterly processes. The move delivered immediate FTE savings, enabled monthly—or daily—monitoring, uncovered about $1.1M in duplicate payments, increased data sharing across the business, and shifted activity from traditional audits to ongoing, insight-driven risk management.
