Community First Credit Union is a member‑owned, state‑chartered financial institution serving Northeast Florida for over 80 years; its volunteer board of primarily education‑based directors sets policy and oversees governance. After adopting an early board portal, the credit union faced reliability, performance, authentication and adoption problems as it grew — leading to security concerns, slow document loading and low engagement from directors.
Community First replaced the older system with Diligent Boards, implementing it quickly and achieving full user adoption in about 30 days. The new portal delivered secure authentication, automation, eSignatures, voting, a central document repository and responsive support, saving at least an hour on meeting packet preparation, improving director engagement and collaboration, and providing the stability and governance features the organization needed.
