Target Marketing, a 25-employee promotional marketing and fulfillment firm in Ashland, VA, was running a 20-year-old Inter-Tel phone system with no support and needed modern unified‑communications features, IVRs, call queues, CRM (Mac/FileMaker) compatibility, soft‑phone and mobile options. Moving to a new office made replacing the old system urgent, and after evaluating Mitel, Cisco, Nortel, Avaya, Shoretel and Digium, they chose Digium’s Switchvox for functionality, flexibility and price.

They installed a Switchvox SMB355 and deployed Digium D‑series phones (2 D70s and about 35 D50s), with a quick, largely self‑configured cutover aided by partner CBSI. The solution delivered easy setup without extra licensing fees, robust IVR/queue routing for each client, improved mobility and coverage across the facility, and roughly 99% call answerability while costing significantly less than competing brand‑name solutions.
