St. Louis Foods Saves Hundreds per Month with Digium Cloud Services

St. Louis Foods, a Midwest food-products supplier, was moving into a modern facility but still relied on a 20-year-old digital phone system with tangled wiring, no caller ID or voicemail, and virtually no in-house telecom expertise. With limited budget and a desire to avoid repeating costly, short-lived ownership cycles, the company needed an affordable, flexible communications solution that could be deployed quickly and managed without dedicated staff.

Partnering with PhoneWire, St. Louis Foods moved to Digium’s Switchvox Cloud hosted PBX, gaining full unified-communications features, plug-and-play phone moves, voicemail-to-email and mobile app access, and detailed call reporting. PhoneWire also preserved the company’s St. Louis presence by forwarding a 314 number via PCS to their new 618 lines. The cloud deployment eliminated on-site maintenance, improved scalability and visibility, and cut equipment and lease costs by several hundred dollars per month.
