A Digium Case Study
Bosselman Holdings, a Midwest conglomerate with over 50 retail fuel stops and a large energy-distribution arm, needed to replace an aging Shoretel hybrid phone system that offered only partial VoIP, no IVR, and limited call-forwarding to mobile users. After soliciting bids from Cisco, Avaya, Shoretel and Digium, management sought an affordable, full-featured unified communications solution that would centralize calls, support remote and mobile employees, and be easy for receptionists and staff to use.
They selected Digium’s Switchvox SMB 355 with Digium IP phones, installed by partner Bizco Technologies. Switchvox delivered an all-inclusive feature set at a lower total cost, enabling drag-and-drop call routing, IVRs, centralized voicemail accessible remotely, and integration options for CRM, call recording and training tools. The deployment supported a new 10-person call center, improved call handling and mobility, and established a scalable platform Bosselman can expand to link remote locations nationwide.
