A Digium Case Study
Ohio Business Machines (OBM), a 30+-year provider of multifunction copiers and document-management solutions in northern Ohio and southeastern Michigan, was hampered by separate, unsupported phone systems and a slow data infrastructure. Email delays of 15–20 minutes, sluggish ERP access over DSL, and an inability to deploy CRM reduced responsiveness and made it difficult for a largely mobile sales force to serve customers effectively.
N2Net deployed Digium’s Switchvox as a Service, renting 80 phones, renegotiating AT&T connectivity and migrating four servers to the cloud for a flat per-seat monthly fee with minimal capital expense. After a two-week soft cutover, OBM gained mobile call routing and office caller ID on cell phones, voicemail-to-email, presence/status, extension-level reporting, and call center features (listen/whisper/barge) — improving responsiveness, sales training, accountability and overall system performance.
