Midwest-CBK Chooses Switchvox and Digium Phones

Midwest-CBK, part of MVP Group International and a global importer of home décor, needed to replace an aging Centrix PBX and centralize communications across 15 U.S. sites. A cross-department evaluation team used a weighted matrix to compare vendors, prioritizing ease of use, mobile voicemail/UC, call queues and ring groups, flexibility, and phased implementation costs.

They selected Digium’s Switchvox UC with the SMB355 appliance and Digium IP phones (D70 for power users, D40s for most staff). After running new cabling at the Elkin site, the pre-configured phones were easy to install, required minimal training, received automatic firmware updates, and delivered immediate savings from a launch promotion—reducing maintenance time and enabling the planned rollout of site-to-site dialing across all locations.
