CORAF - Customer Case Study

CORAF/WECARD, a French-speaking NGO supporting agricultural development across West and Central Africa, faced rising costs and poor call quality from an aging Alcatel analog PABX. With about 50 staff and offices spread across the region, their ICT manager sought an affordable, scalable communications upgrade that could support French-language users and modern UC features.

Partnering with Visiocont@ct, CORAF/WECARD migrated to Digium Switchvox VoIP, adding a GSM gateway, ~100 m of fiber cabling, and ~40 Digium HD IP phones plus Polycom video and conference endpoints. The deployment delivered immediate 30% savings on the first telecom bill, introduced mobility, conferencing, IVR and videoconferencing in French, and set the stage for a phase two centralization linking 8 offices and 22 country representatives.
