Airship Ventures, founded to bring the German-built Zeppelin NT to the United States and based at NASA’s Moffett Field, needed to stand up an office communications system quickly and affordably. With many staff working remotely or traveling, the company required a unified phone system that would present a single company presence regardless of employee location.

Blue Circle Technologies implemented an Asterisk-based IP-PBX using a Digium TDM800P card and Polycom handsets (about 15 extensions), delivering voicemail, Meet Me conferencing, and call forwarding. The result was a low-cost, flexible system that was quick to deploy and scale—new extensions can be added in minutes—while remaining portable for future moves and supporting features like dual-registration for the CEO.
