Digital Transformation of Utility Operations For Engie - The largest independent power producer in the world

ENGIE, the world’s largest independent power producer, operates across 70 countries and manages more than 8.5 million retail customers with over 100,000 invoices processed daily. Faced with revenue leakage, invoicing errors, payment inconsistencies, complex integrations, and high manual effort across its B2C operations, ENGIE needed a way to improve operational rigor, customer experience, and revenue realization. Digitate’s ignio AI.ERPOps was selected to support this digital transformation.

Digitate implemented 51 ignio use cases, combining out-of-the-box and bespoke automations across continuous monitoring, proactive prevention, and reactive correction. The solution handled meter-read validation, bill calculation corrections, payment and refund posting, invoice and penalty blocking, and credit reward automation, helping ENGIE address around 90% of impacted volumes. As a result, Digitate delivered 84% automation of service requests, €4.2 million in revenue realization, 95% reduction in MTTR, 100% reduction in downstream business impact, and more than 90% of unbilled account SR tickets handled by ignio.
