Digital Transformation of SAP Operations

The Largest Retail and Grocery Provider, one of Sweden’s biggest retail chains with around 800 stores and operations across Europe, needed to modernize its legacy SAP support landscape as part of a digital transformation to SAP S/4HANA Cloud. With growing volumes of service requests and critical business processes still handled manually by an AMS team, the company faced slow turnaround times, reactive incident handling, and heavy operational effort across user access, finance data flow, compliance, CAR monitoring, and SAP PI/PO operations. Digitate’s ignio™ AI.ERPOps was selected as the strategic automation platform to support this shift.

Digitate implemented ignio to automate service request fulfillment, proactive health checks, compliance reporting, FI document monitoring, CAR queue and batch job monitoring, and SAP PI/PO monitoring. The results included a 99% MTTR improvement for user access requests, reducing handling time from 3–4 hours to about 4 minutes, along with proactive alerting that helped avoid business disruption and reduced manual effort across multiple SAP operations. Digitate also delivered indirect savings of about 0.2M SEK per year, improved employee productivity, and enabled more resilient, proactive operations overall.
