Case Study: South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue improves security posture with DigitalXRAID's IT Health Check

A DigitalXRAID Case Study

Preview of the South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Case Study

How South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue were able to understand risk, remediate security vulnerabilities and improve security posture with an IT Health Check from DigitalXRAID

South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue, the emergency service covering Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster and Sheffield, needed to assess the security of its critical control room and mobilising 999 systems to meet NCSC CHECK scheme requirements and maintain its Airwave code of connection accreditation. The organisation turned to DigitalXRAID for an IT Health Check to understand risk, identify vulnerabilities, and strengthen its security posture.

DigitalXRAID delivered both internal and external IT Health Checks, led by an NCSC/GCHQ approved CHECK Team Leader, with clear scoping, regular communication, and detailed reporting to support remediation. As a result, South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue identified and addressed weaknesses, improved its security practices, and better prepared for Airwave DCS and future Emergency Services Network accreditation, while also reducing exposure to cyber threats.
