SWISS TXT built Swiss Media Cloud to give broadcasters like the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG SSR) a flexible, scalable multimedia platform able to handle unpredictable traffic peaks and the growing demands of online video. The company deployed a dual-site private cloud (Biel and Interxion Zurich) with carrier‑neutral connectivity and Akamai peering to optimise delivery, resilience and rapid scaling — often increasing capacity four- to tenfold within minutes. The result is a production-ready, pay‑as‑you‑go platform hosting well over a thousand servers for SRG SSR and other customers, delivering improved performance, disaster tolerance, Swiss-based data sovereignty and room for future hybrid cloud growth.
