A Digital Realty Case Study
SingleHop, a Chicago‑based provider of bare‑metal servers and cloud services, needed a European base to serve the roughly 40% of its customers outside North America and to maintain a uniform, highly automated SLA despite a smaller local team. After researching options, it selected Interxion’s Amsterdam data centre for its connectivity, skilled workforce and cloud‑neutral stance so the provider would not compete with SingleHop.
SingleHop colocated infrastructure at Interxion Amsterdam under a flexible “ramp” contract that lets it scale space, power and cooling while tapping Interxion’s local market knowledge to support go‑to‑market efforts and SLA delivery. The move secured over 70% of capacity before launch, gave SingleHop stronger reach into high‑growth European (and nearby Asian, Middle Eastern and African) markets, and positioned the company for further international expansion.
